BOROUGH
To set the mood for Borough's patio—a beautiful conversion of a warehouse loading dock—I aimed to tell the story of the symbiosis that has existed between Minneapolis and its surrounding community of farmers since it's birth through milling at St. Anthony Falls. The success of this relationship helped build the North Loop neighborhood in which Borough resides, continuing the tradition today through their farm-to-table practice.
Both boards are composed symmetrically and feature contrasting perspectives (city/country, country/city). I wanted the composition to feel open and expansive in the somewhat-confined patio, and thought the color should play off of the warmth of the filament bulbs to create the feeling of a perfect summer evening.
